Copy the OS on a thumb drive and boot from the device. It is highly advisable to boot from the USB and not installing it in a VM.

On the top right side of the browser, go to Settings>Preferences>Privacy & Security
- On the Security Level section, click on 'Safest' which will only allow website features required for static sites and basic services. This will disable JavaScript by default on all sites as JS is a huge vector for exploits and disabling it will greatly reduce the vulnerability surface.
